Training

The different types of available training courses are listed below.

A full description of driving licence categories can be found at www.gov.uk
Further information can also be obtained from DVSA (search from www.gov.uk)

Driver Training
The training will be tailored to your requirements and can either be carried out in the driving school vehicle or your own if it meets the minimum vehicle requirements as set out in the DVSA website. All elements of the syllabus will be covered during the lessons and you will progress through the course at your own pace, made easier by a one to one training ratio. This will enable you to feel confident when the time comes to be presented for the driving test.

CPC Training
If you require training to pass the CPC Module 4 Practical Demonstration Test to acquire a Driver Qualification Card then this will also be covered in a separate lesson.  You must be able to:
  • Demonstrate how to load the vehicle with due regard for safety rules and proper vehicle use
  • Show that you know how to secure the vehicle and its contents
  • Demonstrate an ability to prevent criminality and trafficking in illegal immigrants
  • Demonstrate an ability to assess emergency situations
  • Demonstrate an ability to prevent physical risk

Driving Assessments & Training Costs

When you receive your provisional licence from DVLA contact us to arrange a driving assessment. The driving assessment consists of a one hour drive after which your training requirements and costs can be accurately established.

Before you call to arrange the assessment go online to www.gov.uk and type check my licence into the search window. Follow the link View or share your driving licence information and you can log in with:
  • Your driving licence number
  • National Insurance Number
  • Post Code
Once logged in you can then generate a case sensitive check code that we can use to ensure that you have received the correct provisional. To do this we require:
  • Check Code
  • Last 8 characters from your driver number
